This sauce is great for pasta dishes, vegetables and over fish.
2 tablespoons of butter
2 tablespoons of flour
1 cup milk
salt and pepper to taste
1. In a saucepan ,melt the butter over medium heat
2. Whisk in the flour, salt and pepper until smooth
3. Gradually add the milk while whisking
4. Bring to boil, cook and stir for at least 2 minutes or until thickened
Cheese or cream can be added to this sauce to make it creamy. If a low fat diet is a priority, substitute the wholemilk with low fat milk.
